Wanda A.--30 -year-old female: SCIATICA
I was referred to North Dallas Chiropractic from some friends at work. I had been sufferring from a pain that went down my left leg all the way to my foot. This pain made my job as a postal worker very difficult to do day after day. My leg also made me stop playing my favorite game--basketball. This had gone on for several months with no relief. I saw Dr. Soto 2-3 times per week and after a few weeks, I saw a drastic improvement in my symptoms. Now I am doing my job with ease, but even better, I am playing basketball again! I'm not fixed yet, but I am well on my way. Chiropractic gave me my life back!
Sara R.- -45 year-old-female: BULGING DISCS
I am an R.N. and put a lot of stress on my body. When I first saw Dr. Soto, I brought my MRI report showing the 3 bulging discs I had in my neck. I was on a high amount of pain meds and I still had constant, severe pain. Dr. Soto examined me and took a couple of X-rays. He found that my spine was not aligned properly and said he had good results with my type of problem. I was skeptical at first since I had tried everything else with little results. After a couple of weeks of adjustments I noticed 3 things. My pain was decreased, I could turn my head to back out of my driveway and I had to take about 1/4 of the pain meds. By 4-5 weeks, I no longer felt the need for any pain meds, was almost completely pain free and could turn my head like a normal person. All this with 3 bad discs! Thank you for giving me hope.
Mr and Mrs J. - -78 and 74 -years -old: AUTO ACCIDENT.
We were in a car accident. It wasn't our fault. We were both taken to the emergency room at the hospital and were given a lot of very expensive tests. Thank the Lord nothing was broken, but we were pretty banged up. One month later we were both still in a lot of pain. We didn't know how we were going to pay the hospital bill. We prayed for guidance. The next day we got a postcard in the mail from Dr. Ewing and Dr. Soto. It said we could get a free exam and consultation. We thought it could be a sign and went in. To make a long story short, we were having trouble with the other driver's insurance company. Dr. Ewing and Dr. Soto found us a great Attorney, so we didn't have to worry about the bills and could set our minds to just getting better. We both got fixed up in about 6-8 weeks and didnt have to pay a single bill.
Ron G.-- 52 -year-old male: DISH
I came to North Dallas Chiropractic because I had stiffness in my back. It started about 15 years ago and was getting worse. This made my job at Home Depot very difficult to do. Dr. Soto did an exam and took some X-rays. He said I had DISH, which is a fusion of some ligaments in my spine. He said we could increase my range of motion through Chiropractic. I was fairly sore after the first 2 adjustments and therapy, but hadn't felt that loose in 30 years. It was great. The following adjustments caused no discomfort at all. Even though I'll never be able to to get full range of motion back, I have so much more than I could have hoped for. I feel like a new man! I would recommend Chiropractic to everyone.
Teresa B.--48- year-old female: LOW BACK PAIN
I threw out my back pushing a stalled car to the side of the road. I heard a pop and suddenly had a sharp pain in my low back. I couldn't even walk. I waited 3 days and hoped it would go away. It only got worse. I found Dr. Soto and my father drove me to my first appointment. I couldnt get out of the car because of the pain. Dr. Soto and some staff got me out of the car and into a wheelchair and rolled me right into the clinic. He took some x-rays and did an exam. Then he told me the best news ever--he said we can help. I once again rolled into the office on the next visit. By the third visit I was walking (slowly) into the office and feeling much better. After 2 weeks, I was walking to my appointments from my house 3 blocks away! Within a few months I was good as new, although Dr. Ewing won't let me push cars anymore. Thank you, Doc-- I'll be good!
Laurie S. --33-year-old female: MULTIPLE SYMPTOMS
I work in a medical lab and do a lot of lifting and turning. When I first walked into the office, I was a mess. I had pain in my low back and down my leg. I also had pain in my neck, burning between my shoulders, and numbness/ tingling in both hands and fingers. I had been quietly suffering for quite some time. My pain medication and muscle relaxers helped a little, but didn't fix me and I knew they were bad for my body. I guess I just got used to being in pain all the time. A friend of mine told me about the clinic and I figured I had nothing to lose by trying something new. After my exam and X-rays, Dr. Soto went over all the things that were wrong with me. As I had suspected, it was a lot. After only a few visits, I noticed less pain in my leg and neck. After 2 weeks, my numbness and tingling was almost completely gone and the burning between my shoulder blades was hardly noticeble. I continued treatment for about 3 months until I was coming once a month. I was a mess and now I feel great. No more medications with nasty side effects and no more quiet suffering, yeah. Now I tell everyone about Chiropractic.
Marshall F. -- 28-year-old male: AUTO ACCIDENT
I was in an auto accident and really hurt my neck and back. The emergency room at the hospital said I was ok-- nothing broke, but 3 weeks later I still had all this pain. I hired an Attorney and was referred to Dr. Soto for treatment. It was slow going for the first couple of weeks, but I was noticing improvement. Dr. Soto said the longer you wait after an accident to see me, the longer it takes to get better. This made sense to me. I work as a rigger. Its a tough job, but I love it. All I wanted to do was be able to go back to work with no restrictions. By the third week, I was getting better and better. I was released from care the next month and am happy to say I'm back at work 100%. Thanx for your help, Doc.
Marcy C.--49-year--old female: SIDE EFFECTS OF CANCER DRUGS
I was undergoing drug therapy for Leukemia when I was referred to Dr. Ewing's office. I was in an experimental group taking 2x the normal amount of the medication. I was being closely monitored by my doctors at the hospital. Each time they tested me it was getting better and better. The problem was the reaction I was having from all the drugs. I was tired all the time, was stiff all over and had pain throughout my spine, back and neck. I hoped Dr. Ewing could help me feel better. I needed to be strong while I fought my cancer. Dr. Ewing started treating to remove subluxations from my spine. The adjustments were quite comfortable and almost immediately I felt less pain and stiffness. After a week I had more energy and felt much more positive. The strange thing is that the near constant upset stomach I had since starting the drug therapy was getting so much better. Dr Ewing said this is not uncommon when the spine is in line. Thank you, Dr. Ewing, for helping my body stay strong during this process.
Colleen F. -- 52 -year-old female: HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
I came to North Dallas Chiropractic when I moved here from out of state. I have long known the benefits of regular Chiropractic care. I come in once a week to get "tuned up." Chiropractic is a part of my healthy lifestyle, and I feel great.
Martha G. -- 32-year-old female: MS
I go to all kinds of doctors for my MS. I go to North Dallas Chiropractic to realign my spine and help my body function to the best of its ability. I look forward to my adjustments and feel better each visit.
Michael R.--24-year-old male: LOW BACK PAIN
When I first walked into the office, I was hobling like an 80 year old man. It started about 3 months earlier when I reached down to pick up a book. Before I could even lift it up, I felt intense pain in my back. Over the next few days it traveled down my leg. For 3 months I lived with it thanks to a dangerously high level of OTC pain medications. Even though it helped a little, it wasn't taking my pain away. I was scared that I was really messed up and was constantly worried about all the drugs I was taking. The Doctor checked me out and said he knew what was wrong. He said that the book didn't throw my back out, but that my back was at a point where it just needed any kind of trigger to go out. As the treatment went on, I was taking so much less of my pain drugs and feeling so much better. My limp was gone and I was feeling like a 24 year old again. Now I am completely pain free and enjoying life again.
Amanda P. -- 21-year-old femal: HEADACHES
I came to Dr. Ewing for my Headaches. I had had them nearly every day for as long as I could remember. Over the years, I got used to planning things around my pain. I never left the house without my aspirin and avoided anything that could make my headaches worse. Since my mother had headaches all of her life, I didn't really think I would ever be free of the pain. One day a friend told me about the office and said I should try Chiropractic. I thought why not, It can't get any worse. Dr. Ewing saw me and we started treatment. The first few visits, I saw no change. On the next Tuesday, Dr. Ewing asked me how my weekend was. I said great, not realizing at the time that I had no headaches over the 3-day weekend. When he asked me about the headaches, it dawned on me that I hadn't had one in 3 days! I was ecstatic to say the least. As time went on my headaches came less frequently. I still get adjusted about once a month and get occasional headaches, but I feel like a normal person again. I no longer have to plan my life around my pain. Thank you.
Beth M.--42-year-old female: CARPAL TUNNEL ?
I came to Dr. Ewings office to see if he could help my Carpal Tunnel in my hand. I work at a computer all day and long hours are not uncommon. I had been having numbness and tingling in my hand for about 6 months. Some co-workers said I must have Carpal Tunnel and I could either live with it or get surgery. I accepted this theory for a while since I had heard it before around the office. Not until it started getting really bad and interfering with my work and home life, did I decide to see if anything else could be done. Dr. Ewing did an exam and took some X-rays of my neck (even though my hand was the problem). During the Report of Findings, he told me that the problem was not in my hand, but in my neck. I was skeptical, but kept an open mind. He showed me how pinched nerves in my neck can cause symptoms all the way down in my hand. As we began the adjustments (on my neck) and back, I noticed less numbness and tingling. I was gaining strength in my hand and could even hold a coffee cup again. Just 3-4 weeks later, I felt like a new woman. Dr. Ewing made me promise that even though they mean well, I would not seek health advise from co-workers anymore.
Cesar G.--30-year-old male : MID BACK PAIN.
When I first came to see Dr. Ewing, I had mid back and mid to lower back pain, stiffness and discomfort. The pain began mid March and had lasted six weeks. I had been taking Advil and hot baths/ heating pads. I then began taking anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxers to alleviate the pain. I was waking up in the morning at 5:30 or 6:00 am in pain and couldn't sleep or lay down. I was fatigued at work and extremely irritable. Chiropractic has helped me by taking away my pain and letting me sleep better. I went from heating pads to medications to starting treatments with Dr. Ewing. I Followed his treatment plan and it alleviated my pain and discomfort. I also incorporated Massage and Yoga, both of which I couldn't do until I started my visits to Dr Ewing. I would also like to thank his staff for being so friendly and helpfull. I would recommend Chiropractic to others.
Janet S.-- 50-year-old female: LOW BACK PAIN
My low back pain started 10 days prior to seeing Dr .Ewing. I had already tried Motrin and a heating pad. It was hard to sit, stand and turn over in bed. Chiropractic has helped me by reducing my pain and helping me to sleep better. After 1 month of treatment, I have almost no pain. Dr. Ewing and staff have been great. I would recommend Chiropractic to others.
Michael H.--35-year-old male: CHRONIC SHOULDER PROBLEMS
I came to Dr. Ewings office with Chronic Shoulder problems. I had aching, stiffness and cracking/ popping sounds. I had suffered with this condition for 12 years after an injury from a fall at work. I had previously tried initial pain therapy consisting of hot packs and a tens unit. I had constant pain in the shoulder area and I was always aware of the problem. I would sometimes have numbness and tingling in my arm after sleeping. I was less effective at my Volleyball activities and could not stay at my desk in a typing position for very long. Chiropractic has helped me sleep better and have less pain. I would recommend Chiropractic to others.
The treatment has been great. The numbness and tingling in my arms during sleep has not re-occured. I am able to sit at my desk for longer durations without discomfort.
Susan M.--45-year-old female: NECK / BACK PAIN
My condition started 10 years ago as the result of a car accident. My initial treatment included Medical Doctors, Physical Therapy, and pain medication from time to time. Everything in my life was filtered through how much pain I was currently in before deciding if I could participate or not, (a terrible way to live). I stopped swimming, which I dearly love as a result of the neck pain.
Chiropractic has helped me by greatly decreasing my pain and improving my sleep. Combining Massage Therapy and Chiropractic was a new phenomenon for me. It has been truly revolutionary for me. This is the best I have felt in a very long time. I'm now able to do moderate excercise for the pure enjoyment of it. I would absolutely recommend Chiropractic to others !
Lisa T--40-year-old female: PAIN BETWEEN THE SHOULDER BLADES:
I came to Dr Ewing's office because of pain between the shoulder blades. My spine felt like it was knotted up with occasionally pain wrapped around my ribs to my chest and stomach. This was on and off for about 6 years. Initially I had seen an Internal Medicine Doctor and went to the hospital ER. When the pain was at its worst, the pain was incapacitating until I could take a muscle relaxer and sleep for awhile. In general, it was just irritating and uncomfortable and made sitting for long periods difficult. Chiropractic has helped me by decreasing my pain.
Not only have the adjustments helped the existing pain, but it is also reassuring that they may prevent it from recurring and if it does, there is something I can do besides just taking Ibuprofen and muscle relaxers (when it's really bad). I would recommend Chiropractic to others.
Jeremy R.H--30-year-old male: LOW BACK PAIN
When I first saw Dr. Ewing for low back pain, I had unbearable, uncomfortable and frustrating pain in any position. I had already seen a general MD who gave me some stretches and excercises to try, but the pain continued to increase. The Medical Doctor offered me pain killers, but I didn't want to go that route.
When I first came to Dr Ewings office, I couldn't sit, which I do all day at work. I had a hard time driving, bending, working out at the gym and climbing stairs. I could not do anything comfortably or without pain. I was very frustrated and scared. It was a serious problem.
Dr Ewing has helped me tremendously. My pain started to disappear the first couple of visits and continued to get better and better. I was able to continue my life and go do my job without discomfort and without pain. In a short period of time Dr Ewing had me living my normal life without pain at all.
I would recommend Chiropractic to everyone. Everyone in Dr Ewings office was extremely friendly and helpful and I felt a welcomed feeling with every visit.
Tracey A.--35-year-old female: HEADACHES
I have had severe headaches and neck pain.
I've had headaches for as long as I can remember. They seemed to get very intense about ten years ago. Before coming to Dr. Ewing , I had these headaches daily. It was more uncommon for me to not have a headache than to have one.
Before Chiropractic treatment, I went to various regular doctors. I was told repeatedly that I had either migraines or sinus infections. have been given a bevy of assorted pills; everything from antibiotics and decongestants to muscle relaxers and high-strength anti-inflammatories. Nothing had helped. In many cases the medicines prescribed gave me an upset stomach and did nothing for my headaches.
My health problem affected various aspects of my life. Im felt grumpy all of the time. I was short with my family and coworkers due to the constant pain. I had difficulty concentrating on my schoolwork. It was very difficult falling asleep and staying asleep due to the pain.
Chiropractic has helped me have much less pain and sometimes no pain at all. I sleep better and take much less medication. I have more energy and feel much happier and more positive about life.
I would MOST DEFINITELY recommend Chiropractic to others.
I am so pleased to have found Dr. Ewing. He has a very genuinely kind manner and the rest of the staff is very pleasant. The visits are quick and painless. The therapy offered after the adjustment is wonderful...it's like treating yourself to a visit to the spa. For anyone who has chronic headaches and have tried the "traditional" methods of treatment without relief, you should give Chiropractic a try. It has been such a blessing to me.
